Hello Everybody
I am looking for a top shelf Darjeeling anyone have any suggestions for a vendor and your particular favorite Darjeeling
Any help would be appreciated I HAVE tryed all of ADAGIOS offerings!

You might check the TeaVendor list for those listed under Darjeeling. That should give you an idea of what folks on the forum like. I'm not experienced enough with it to post, hopefully others will hop on here and give you an idea!

Much depends on whether you are seeking a greener, lighter first flush, or a smoother, richer, darker 2nd flush. In either case, I have had very good luck with Tea Emporium (direct from India)... my favorite being the Castleton Moonlight. This year's first flush has been excellent. I also just received some samples from a friend procured at SpecialTeas, and while I haven't brewed yet, the aroma is really nice, and the friend speaks highly of her experience with their higher-end teas.

2nd flush isn't my preference so I may not be the best one to ask... plus, I haven't tried lots of vendors. I have really enjoyed a variety of 1st, 2nd, and Autumnal flushes from Tea Emporium... my favorites being Castleton Moonlight, Risheehat Flowery, Puttabong Queen, and Margaret's Hope. They seem to vary from year to year on which one really shines. I know Victoria has been buying from more domestic vendors, with SpecialTeas having some above-average offerings. And I hear good things about Thunderbolt but haven't bought from them myself yet.

I really like Thunderbolt Tea...my favourites last year were the 2nd flush Arya Ruby and Margaret´s Hope Hand Roll...I´m excited to try some of their first flush tea this year.

Lots of good advice here, but I would caution any newbie to
not rush to buy direct from India until they are sure of
what type and style of Darjeeling they like.

Most Estate teas make their way to smaller online vendors,
where you can taste in smaller quantities. Once you know
what you like, go for it.
