When looking around to see what other teas are out there I was surprised by the fact that Adagio appears to be the only place that carries Golden Monkey tea which seems a little odd. Is Golden Monkey tea also known under different names like White Peony is also called Pi Mu Tan? Or is it simply a "house name" that Adagio uses for a broader type of Chinese tea in place of its proper Chinese name?

It is sometimes called King of Panyong Congou.

However, lots of companies sell it under the name "golden monkey," including (but in no way limited to):
bonjourgourmet.com
Harney & Sons
Stash
Culinary Teas
Tao of Tea
Upton Tea

Wow and I thought Adagio's price for Golden Monkey was a bit pricey but now it seems to be among the best around to so maybe outside of sampling the "generic Fujian" tea that tentea.com offers for comparison it looks like I'll just stick with Adagio's Golden Monkey.
