Drinking 2013 CNNP Hua Zhuan from Chawang Shop. This is interesting stuff. Does not taste like the brick tea with jin hua in them. Herbs, dried orange peel, some floral notes.....out of nowhere - tobacco and a slightly sour note. I like it quite a bit. This is a new flavor profile for me, so time will tell if I love it.

I think this belongs in the Pu'erh section more than the black tea section, not sure why the admins won't make a hei cha section.

It's routinely discussed here. Down the list there is a discussion on Fu Zhuan. Seems there is no perfect place for it as it stands.

2 quick posts & 2 teas to start the day: After a bit of a tea that is not for me, I returned to my usual start for the day, the HOR from Nepal. Today's little thought: The first & second infusion of this black tea are exactly the same, delicious; yet, the tea will not make a third infusion that is even close to them. I have Yunnan black tea that is also like this. Is this your experience also?

Western style. I've never had a good result from gongfu w/ black tea.

Guranse 2013 second flush: From Dhankuta region of Nepal, providing flavors & aroma as other teas from the region, but much less boldly & also unfortunately w/ a bit of harshness. Quite good, but even if watching one's $, I'd advise getting the much better Jun Chiyabari or Kumpawani.

Been drinking this Big Tree Red black tea made from old arbor Puer a lot recently. Happened to get enough sun to make a pour pic look a little sexy.

5 grams in a ~100 ml gaiwan.

This stuff, purchased in Mumbai Airport around eight hours ago. I dug through the packs to find one that was packed in October. My first real Nilgiri.. Interesting vanilla and orange notes.

I have not yet mastered the art of the gorgeous action shot, but here's a pic of the tail end of my tea session--Yuchi wild black tea from Taiwanteacrafts, in my happy little entpot. :)

Another floral, fruity, warm and wonderful session with my gift Jin Jun Mei--a marvelous tea that sits in it's pretty little box, patiently waiting for another chance to please.

Mmm. The lines on the lotus kyusu and the scallop yunomi add to the floral impression of this session.

2014 Spring Wild Arbor Feng Qing - Pure Assamica from YS. Thought this tea was pretty good until I brewed it gongfu style.....and wow......super yum. Nice thick body and dense flavors.....touch of florals, some fruit, leather and what I can only describe as a cognac like flavor.
