Can anybody identify this tea?
I just saw this tea at my local ethnic market, but I'm puzzled as to what it is. Anybody has any idea what type of tea or quality I might expect from it?
Thanks

I just saw this in one of our local Indian markets, as well. I was told by the proprietor that it is a poor quality Darjeeling.

We used to carry it and another that was just packaged just like it. I can't remember which one I had, but its a pound of tea for five bucks, so it's pretty low quality. Its all CTC. Think lipton tea bags.

Its actually pretty good Assam from India.
If it says Barooti, then its broken leaf quality Assam. That usually means its good for a quick and strong brew.
If it says Kalami, then its TGFOP quality Assam. A bit more flavorful then the previous one and not as strong, but still a bold Assam.
I actually find these Assam's to be very flavorful and bold Assam's. Good if you're on a budget and enjoy multiple cups of black tea daily.
