Perhaps more an interjection relating incredulous disbelief. Stash isn't known for delivering a superb product, generally. But hey, you're loving it is all that counts.

I thought maybe that was it. Stash doesn't seem to be spoken well of on this message board. Please forgive me...ignorant tea newbie. Where might I find a truly excellent Irish Breakfast tea?

I remember a Stash phase, it was better than any tea I had had to that point. What is important is what is bringing you enjoyment on your TeaJourney.

Irish Breakfast is often Assam, try looking at Assams. There is another thread going on this subject. I think they are on page 4, a ot of Assam info there.

Of course, Adagio has some fine examples as well.

Irish, given a choice. It seems to have better flavor and a stronger attitude!

I drink mine with a bit of sugar and splash of skim milk.
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.

I drank Twining's Irish Breakfast before starting on loose teas. I really love the Adagio Irish b-fast. I tried Adagio's English b-fast but absolutely hated it!

While working through all of my samples, I decided that I really disliked most of the Chinese teas. The only one I really loved was Golden Monkey. I wonder if other people have an Chinese / Indian / Ceylon, etc. preference?

I would suggest getting samples of both from the same company, like Adagio, then you can compare them and see which you really like better.

I much prefer Irish Breakfast. Really don't like the rather tangy undertaste of English Breakfast.

Of all the black teas, Irish Breakfast is the only one I can drink with a drop of cream in it. For my tastes, no other black tea can quite handle it.

Diddo Mary! However, nothing beats Irish breakfast Ice tea!
