is there any online store that sells this ? apparently it's only sold in japan but some asian stores carry it

Interesting.. I have never heard of this particular type.. It appears to have an interesting history as well. Let us know if you find any!?

an online friend offered to send me a sample the next time he buys a new tin. i tried looking for it on ebay or amazon with no luck. i'm not sure if their official site ships it anywhere else because they seem to only have 1 page of their site in english

Must be some coveted stuff! Perhaps you can transulate the other pages using a language converter.
