The rat forums have a button that you can press to subscribe to a topic that you are interested in.

For example, let's say someone asks a question that I also want to know the answer to. I could press the "subscribe" button, and be notified when someone replies (rather than posting a "me, too"). It's very useful for popular questions.

Any chance we could get such a button?

Do you have a URL for the rat forums? I'd need to see what bb software they are running first.

I believe they are using SMF.

The button is actually called "notify." You have to be signed in to see it (since they can't e-mail you if they don't know your address).
