Shipping credit recommendation

Right now Adagio has a great deal going with the free shipping if your order is over $50. Why not give the option to upgrade to 2nd day and give the $3.75 credit (net charge of $4.00). Right now if you want 2nd day you have to pony up the whole $7.75. Or am I missing something? (Cost to you of ground vs FedEx 2nd day)

FedEx ground in my area is useless depending on the driver of the day.
