Completely agree here, Chip. Teavana has higher prices and while yes, you don't pay for shipping, you have to pay for gas to get to their store, and can't get a bunch of customer reviews of the tea (although you do actually get to smell it, which is nice). I've had good success with Adagio so far - haven't gotten anything I haven't liked, and is well priced for what you get.
   seems all TeaChat topics end up at a Teavana near you ...

It happens.. probably because it's (at least to my knowledge) the biggest "tea-chain" for actual retail space in the US, so it's relatively familiar to those who love tea.

Well...if wikipedia is accurate caffiene content of tea and coffee isn´t that far off depending on how strong you brew your tea.
One of the world's primary sources of caffeine is the coffee "bean" (which is the seed of the coffee plant), from which coffee is brewed. Caffeine content in coffee varies widely depending on the type of coffee bean and the method of preparation used;[18] even beans within a given bush can show variations in concentration. In general, one serving of coffee ranges from 40 milligrams, for a single shot (30 milliliters) of arabica-variety espresso, to about 100 milligrams for a cup (120 milliliters) of drip coffee. In general, dark-roast coffee has less caffeine than lighter roasts because the roasting process reduces the bean's caffeine content.[19][20] Arabica coffee normally contains less caffeine than the robusta variety.
Tea also contains theanine and the stimulant caffeine at about 3% of its dry weight, translating to between 30 mg and 90 mg per 8 oz (250 ml) cup depending on type, brand[20] and brewing method.[21] Tea also contains small amounts of theobromine and theophylline,[22] as well as fluoride[citation needed], with certain types of brick tea made from old leaves and stems having the highest levels.[23]

Dry tea has more caffeine by weight than coffee; nevertheless, more dried coffee is used than dry tea in preparing the beverage,[24] which means that a cup of brewed tea contains significantly less caffeine than a cup of coffee of the same size.
I´m sure it´s refering to english style brewed tea...gonfu style you´re using 5-10g of tea leaf which after you go through all the infusions could easily excede the 100mg of caffeine in a cup of drip coffee considering about 3% of the dry weight is caffeine in tea and that you´ll extract almost all of it after several infusions.

Then there´s matcha which is a kind of powdered green tea...you drink the whole leaf so you get 100% of the caffeine!
