Tea for the back?

by TwoPynts » Feb 3rd, '11, 13:52

I threw out my lower back on Tuesday and movement has been painful ever since. :x It is in a spot centered near my spine just below waist. My wife thinks it is a sprain resulting from some heavy lifting and shoveling I did over the weekend. Ironically, all I did was simply bend over and something gave, no great war story there. It is a recurring injury that stems from when I hurt it lifting heavy containers of sugar in a stockroom (working at a grocery store) some 20 years ago. If I'm lucky I can go years without a serious recurrence, but it finally caught up to me again and I've had to stay home from work laying on my back for the past 2 days. That is about the only time it doesn't hurt.

I was wondering if there is a tea that might help speed up the recovery. Thoughts?

Kavakava root will make you numb and will give you hallucinations... sorry that's all I've got!

Green tea may help you a bit with overall health, including your back, as any other healthy diet. But no way it can heal serious back problem. Have backbone problems myself. If i cross some limits that were told by doctors, i can get serious problems, if i don't do it, i'm just an average healthy guy :)

From my experience i can suggest only one thing, go to doctor and get results from a professional physician, what your body can handle. You may need special exercise or diet. Good thing, this can actually help at any age.

That's for temporary relief, better not leave it at this. I was told many times by my physician, that people too often forget about their back problems after they finish drinking pills and of course they are returning back to doctor sooner or later with exactly same thing :)

Right Xell. I'm going for X-rays, and then to a specialist. 20 years of this problem is enough, time to see if can be corrected. Thanks.
