Yes, name is written with only one kanji - 怜 Which has meaning 'clever, intelligent, wise, sharp-witted'

Congratulations to you! Is this your first? A little girl is what I wished for but had two (wonderful) boys instead. Now I am blessed with grandchildren of both genders to to love (and spoil ).
