A good day means: time to make (and actualy drink) one cup while getting ready for work, plus 3 more during work, and then coming home and having a pot of tea (4 more cups) to relax.

WOW, no wonder you are madpots... ...but could you clarify this for us? Do you have around 8 first infusions...another words, do you have enough tea leaf for 8 first steeps...
Is it all actual tea?

I drink 2-5 sessions a day, usually 3, but on a good day, more. I drink mostly green and some oolong.
A session for me consists of any where from 2-7 steeps depending on the tea.

This equates to on average...

3 sessions or first infusions all the way up to 5

13 grams of tea leaf per day all the way up 20 grams...I try to keep it under 20

12 200ml/6.8oz steeps of tea all the way up to 20...

80 oz/2.4liters of brewed tea all the way up to 135oz/4liters

I typically start with black teas at work...perhaps 3 to 6 8oz cups.

In the afternoon I switch to greens or oolongs, perhaps 3 or 4 8oz cups.

At home, after work I usually down another 4 to 8 cups of greens, whites, roiboos or (rarely) herbals.

So If I add that up, 10 to 18 eight ounce cups a day.

Every day is different for me. I ALWAYS start of the day with a big mug of a basic black tea.

If I'm ill or very cold, I'll also drink tea during the day.

When I'm at home I always drink iced tea with dinner, when I'm here at school I'll drink it only occasionally with dinner.

I often drink an entire pot of rooibus or herbal tea in the evenings.. but my french press just broke and I don't have any other pots.. so I might be cutting back on my evening tea.

Around 6-8 cups is about right for me. Two in the morning, two more through out the day and one at night. And two or three cups with food too.
I mostly drink black teas (Assam,Darjeeling,Ceylon,Yunnan) but I have white(silver needle), green(sencha, geinmacha, gunpowder) and oolong on hand just in case. I always have a jar of iced black or rooibos to drink with food. So many teas so little time!

About 4 cups for me. All after I get home from work in the after noon. Ill space them out usally. I tend to drink a large amount of Herbal Tea, if not that than probably Rooibos. Occasionaly will pull out a black tea...

I never follow patterns. Sometimes it's tea (oolongs and genmaicha are favorites), some times it's herbal infusions, sometimes tea & herbs together....

Like the Mad Hatter, CLEAN CUP! Move down! Chances are each brew is different, even in th same evening!

Mostly it's new tea per cup vs multiple infusions. Only when I am at home at the end of the day with my wares (and time) can I get into multiple infusions.

On average three 8 oz cups a day. Maybe 4 sometimes.

But there are days where i don't have time for tea at all. Maybe one cup if i'm lucky, but generally speaking it's about three cups.

I was drinking maybe 6-8 cups a day for a while (2 in the morning, 2 mid morning 2, in the afternoon and maybe 2 at night).

Then I noticed how much it was staining my teeth and I cut back to 4. The teeth whitening strips are hurting my teeth. I can't win.
i drink 9 6oz cups a day... 16oz w/ each meal then 6oz of a dessert tea before bed

Use baking soda to brush. It whitens and removes stains (It's what I use to get the stains off my teapot and my previous teapot which was given to me and had ten years of stuck on old tea (IGH)).

and I would say I have between 3-7 cups. Some of that is herbal though. Don't want too much caffiene.

I guzzle 6-8 smallish cups of white tea a day, plus usually a couple of cups of green (sencha or Dragonwell). It's much better than coffee.

I cant really say since I generally drink from Gongfu cups. However, I figure I prolly drink 2 liters on a good day.

I start my work day with a black tea usually, oolong on the weekends.

Then oolong and a green mid-day.

Caffine even in tiny amounts effects my sleep so no caffine after 4:00.

Probably about 4-6 cups a day but I like them big. 14oz.

I must be the tea-aholic.

Eight cups sounds really conservative to me. I make about 4-5 pots of my 20 oz tetsubin and usually add extra water to the brew, so I get 12-16 cups of tea a day.

Most of the time, it's black tea. In the evenings, I'll go towards oolongs or greens.

Yeah, I have a drinking problem. I need to go to tea-addict anonymous.

I have a 16 oz mug that I generally use at home and a travel mug that is slightly less than that, maybe 8 oz or 12 oz. Depending on how many classes I have on a day, I can go through roughly 6 to 8 mugs worth of tea, sometimes more. Unless I am on the run between classes, I do use more than one steeping. Right now, I am on mug #5 with at least one to three more to go before I sleep.

Today was something of a light day: 20 oz of fukamushi.
