Favorite fruit?

Well off the Tea path ... or is it, really? I find myself pondering this as I partake of the first of many of my favorite fruit over the next 6 or so months. There parallels.

But what is your fave fruit or fruits and why? Does your fruit and your enjoyment of it perhaps have parallels to tea ...

Favorite is the Water Apple (rose apple, wax apple). Crisp. Light. Fragrant. Tangy. Like biting into a rose.
I don't think I would eat it with tea, but now I see that I like crisp, light and fragrant flavors.

What about you, Chip? You didn't answer your own question. How does pomegranate (another of my favs) have parallels to tea?

Man, I have a soft spot for fruit. My favorite is the custard apple, or the cherimoya. For special occasions only, as they are really expensive around here. Strong perfume with a bit of funk. Pawpaws are more readily available substitute. I do like to serve fruit at tea gatherings. I'd say I appreciate fragrant, funky teas but perhaps in the reverse ratio. Oh man, now you've got me jonesing....

Lived in a very warm climate for a while so just the generic tropical fruits are my absolute favorite: mango, starfruit, coconut (I count as fruit), bananas, and I really love citrus: pommelo, oranges, limes, grapefruit, etc...
as well as some foreign fruits, rambutan, lychee, longan, prickly pear fruit (AKA tuna), jackfruit and even durian!
I don't have a single favorite.

Durian, mangosteen, lychees, and a particular kind of orange mango.

I guess I like the flowery and fruity flavors of some teas? I loved these fruits before I loved tea, that’s for sure.

Oh, I think I’ve stumbled upon a parallel: while I do enjoy fruit like mangosteens tremendously, they were never a staple fruit for me, and not only because they’re seasonal. It’s similar to how I presently can’t imagine constantly drinking Darjeelings. (My staple tea is basically a cheap, mellow Dianhong. It’s unlikely I’ll get sick of drinking it too much.)

Hmmm...pretty much any citrus could fight for top spot. I think this has more to do with my coffee preferences than tea though. I can't think of any tea that's very citrusy

i like them close to 100% ripe... bursting with ripe juices! with only the flappy rinds having some light crunchy texture left

I'm talking about fuyu seedless. Sooo good. In fact, I'm enjoying one right now.
