Lol! That was my head shot taken by a professional photographer and used for my theater troupe's program for "Hello Dolly". I played the supporting part of Barnaby Tucker assistant to Cornelius at Vandergelder’s Hay & Feed store. Thanks for the link!

Initially I auditioned for the role of Cornelius Hackl, Vandergelder’s chief clerk. However, the director felt my acting was a little too edgy/raw for the role.

I agree... it's the eyes... I feel like they're watching me a bit too closely, like they're peering into my soul and questioning my sub-conscious on a too-personal level. They also follow me around the room no matter how I try to get away.

8) Great post, really lifted my spirits. Got some bad news yesterday from the director of my theater troupe. Were going to be putting on a few shows of "Thoroughly Modern Mille" in a few months. I tried out for the roles of "Ching Ho" and "Bun Foo" and lost out on both parts. I was offered the opportunity to be a stage hand and am most likely going to accept. Still a bummer though.. :x

Just got some good news.  The director has a spot opening up because one of the actors has to attend his son’s birthday party during the second showing of Thoroughly Modern Mille.  I was offered the opportunity to play the role of “Typist #6” during the song “Forget About the Boy”.  I’ll only have one line in which I’ll sing the lyric “Timothy”.  After that there are two choruses were Miss Flannery and all ten typists will sing together.  The director has just asked me to mouth the lyrics during these parts cause they are a stretch for me vocally.  But at least I’ll be on stage. :)

Wow thats killer! Prolly going to set up my appointment soon. I'm thinking of doing a tea pot on the boil with musical notes incorporated into the steam coming from the tea pot. Kinda like the idea of combining my two hobbies; Tea and Theater!

Cause you can't spell Theater without Tea!!! Lol

The y-pot is a classy tea based tattoo. They are functional pieces of art and it would be interesting to see them juxtaposed as a pure piece of inked artwork. I would want to incorporate the Chrysanthemum for sure as it represents the autumn harvest my favorite time of year!
