Asian Art: Post images you admire

by joelbct » Apr 28th, '08, 13:02

Many of us are attracted to Chinese and Japanese art and culture as well as tea.

Here is Li Cheng's (919-967) "Solitary Temple amid Clearing Peaks," Northern Song dynasty (960-1127):

Yes, Jazz, I agree, Fan Kuan's "Travelers" and Kuo Hsi's "Early Spring" are my other two favorites of Chinese Landscape! Perfection....

joelbct, thanks for posting better quality images! Song Dynasty landscape paintings are probably my all time favorite. I would even go so far and say that it has been a major influence for me.
@ Victoria – nice screen! If I will be filthy rich one day then that's what I will have in my house.

Actually I "borrowed" the picture of that screen from a fellow perfume blogger and tea friend - http://arhianrad.blogspot.com/

I must convince her to join us, since she has a serious addiction to kimono collecting, perfume and tea! What a perfect fit!
