TriniTEA Carafe Cracked! (Pics)

by Bergamot » Jan 30th, '06, 01:47

So I got to work this morning, filled my TriniTEA up with water and tea, and started reading through my emails, when I noticed it was leaking more than usual.

It's not uncommon for me to spill a few drops on the outside, but this made a small puddle on my desk. A quick inspection identified the cause: a long, thin crack running halfway around the glass carafe.

I've only had the pot for about 3 months, and I haven't really been doing anything unusual with it (other than making tea daily, which I would assume it's designed to do without breaking).

I'd feel silly throwing out a $75 teapot after so short a time, and equally silly buying a whole new one because the carafe broke. Is there somewhere I can get a replacement?

What a wise 'crack' - GG
Tea pot is on, the cups are waiting,
Favorite chairs anticipating,
No matter what I have to do,
My friend there's always time for you.

How nice of you to say, Parelle. :) I found it online under 'Tea Quotes', there were several to choose from. This one just caught my eye.

Thank you,

Cess

Thank you for your quick reply; I'll send off the email in a few minutes :)

I'm sure the vast majority of these pots are defect-free, and I will say that I really enjoyed my pot for time I used it.

Hmm, I sent the email a week ago, and haven't received a response. Here's what I wrote:
Subject: TriniTEA Carafe

I mentioned on Teachat that my carafe had cracked, and the site admin suggested sending a message here. I'm not sure what the official process is.

Hmm, that's kindof a bummer. I'd wait a little longer. Things might be a little crazy over there since Chris announced his plans to move on.

No problem; I've been using a teastick and an electric kettle :)

You might want to try the live chat. I had a question that I had emailed them last week but got an answer on the live chat from Steve. He said things are backed up without Chris around.

I've had a really busy few months, and sending the email totally slipped my mind. Can I still get it replaced?
