tea chef

by Snow on Cedar » Mar 31st, '06, 20:28

I didn't submit a recipie to tea chef this month as none of mine turned out well enough to submit. Am I still going to be able to participate in other months or does missing a month ban you?

Yeah, you should not be able to order so late in the month. I got my tea on the 22nd and was busy for two days, so I had no time to make more than one thing (it was a flop). I don't THINK they keep careful track.

Don't worry. Missing one month won't disqualify you from receiving additional samples.

I requested a sample a few days ago at the end of march, and then i realized that i should have waited till the beginning of April... I didn't know if it would carry over to this months contest, so i re-applied. Is this okay? I hope so. Also, if you could, make sure that i only get 1 sample? I don't want to cheat you guys heh. Thanks.

Yours,
Ryan

Ryan,

I see your requests in the database. We automatically remove duplicate requests, so don't worry about cheating us.

So does submitting a recipe mean you're in for the next month if you ask for a sample?

Because I'd really like to keep doing the TeaChef thing.

Once we receive all of your sample requests, we select a few hundred (out of a few thousand requests) to send out. We generally select people who have submitted recipes in prior months.

Wouldn't that get pretty exclusive after awhile? I mean if the only people to get samples are people who have submitted recipes.. and the only people to submit recipes are the people who get samples... it would eventually get kinda in circles...

i dunno.. I just hope im one of the few hundered lol :D

I think what he means is "people who have submitted recipes are usually in the selected list" and not "only people who have submitted recipes are selected."

You're mad?
IB is my favourite tea.
And because life has kept me too busy to check Adagio as much as I'd like, I missed it.

I'm not mad because they used IB, I'm mad because I didn't get around to submitting my entry, which I think was pure genious

Post it anyway. I'm pretty sure they allow you to post recipies outside their tea of the month, and outside the normal timeframes.

Ilya, you guys do allow submissions of recipies that are late or don't use the tea of the month, right?
