thanks a lot Mad Pots!! It is great to hear the development of this infusion/tea, and interesting too to read your opinions on the taste of it!

it is Mad indeed!

I also interested that you blended it with an assam, i think this would have been my choice also. A tea that id think would cope with the chilli spice well - without being too lost..

I can also see how it may be a good tea for winter.. which sparked my initial thought on the whole idea - a kick on the cold winter days. Would you say it is better as a pick me up/kick? :shock: or better as a drink with a spicy meal? :twisted:

I apologize for the delay. I've been out of town every week and have not seen the inside of my kitchen in over a week!

I managed to make a batch this morning (before another 5-day trip) and will package and get it to the post office next week.

Yogi tea has a sweet mexican chilli tea that is wonderful. It has chocolate in it, also, and the flavors blend perfectly together.
