So, in general, if there's a shipping cost/issue, it's probably not the service provider but China Post that's mucking it up.
It wasn't by EMS, was it?

Another point I would like to add is when using Western Union, it is better to pay by debit card than credit card, as it is cash advance when you transfer money via WU.

I'm still fine turning to minimizing the cost.

Hi everyone,

I have recently placed an order through taobaofocus (cheap stuff since it a was a trial purchase) and something odd happened to my tea. Ones of the wrappers of the mushrooms was loosely wrapped. When I opened the wrapper a piece of the stalk was separated. I weighed the tea and the piece taken was like 5 grams.
As many of you already know before sending the stuff you can see pictures of the items. When I saw the pictures of the 2 mushrooms were properly wrapped.
When I contacted taobaofocus they said that probably the customs was checking the stuff to verify that it wasn't something illegal.

It was either that or the guys in the warehouse were thirsty

Has this ever happened to you?

It happened to me many times, when items were sent directly from china. They slit the wrapping paper of 4 from 7 pieces from my 7532.
Here's my guess:
The custom simply didn't know what magic mushrooms you have there and suspected that it was something illegal. They took 5 grams of your grass for checking, for the dogs to sniff, while scolding "who in this world packs grass in a form of a mushroom and furthermore, which XXXXX ordered something like this and causes extra work for me".
I bet they didn't even think of making a cup of tea out of the stuffs

The mental image of a puer enthusiast customs officer opening your package and sneaking chunks off of your order really entertains me
