I don't think I could drink any one tea day in and day out without getting bored. I usually have about 5-6 sheng bing's (or tuos) open and one or two shu's open. Right now it's Golden Needle White Lotus and Gong Ting (both Menghai) for Shu.

The original 1980's Golden Needle White Lotus please.
Oh, you mean what shou can I afford to drink everyday? 2007 GNWL, or a plain white paper 2007 Bulang tuo I recently stumbled upon. Wish I had bought up a tong or two of the 2007 GNWL back when it was only $24/cake. Apparently it's not to be had for reasonable prices even in HK anymore.

Oh, trust me, I bought the Dayi Secret Fragrance shu tong, and I still get anxiety about running out. Although, in part because there is no new version of it, the 701 is all there is, and it's not that common anyways.
Typically, a V93 is a pretty classic everyday shu, even though it's supposed to ferment awhile first. Many people drink lao cha tou as an everyday tea. Haiwan and Boyou are cheaper, though they both have many different blends such that you're gonna either pick at random or sample through it...

note: I don't generally like shu pu. the list below excepted of course
2006 v93 ( source royalpuer I believe )
early 2000ish 7262 menghai ( source hmn, no idea, bought it awhile ago)
some 90s loose menghai ( royalpuer )
Pretty much rotate those. The menghai cake is a sweet little tea, that is all, but sometimes that is exactly what you want. good for late at night.
The v93 kicks some ass, haven't been able to get more from that year, but still working through what I have and enjoying it. later vintages (2007-2011) don't seem to be drinkable yet IMO, at least the ones I have. Here's to hoping...
90s loose menghai is about the perfect cooked puerh for me - you might be able to get some still - got it at
http://www.royalpuer.com/Xing-Xiang-Pu-er-Cha.asp. I'm still working through what I bought on special occasions. I have something comparable that was cheaper from a vancouver vendor that I'm planning to replace it with - I bought a large amount of that which I have settling/aging in a large custom jar.

btw, I find most of the Boyou numbered series (0506M, etc) to be acceptable as well with some age on them - cheaper alternative to standard menghai/dayi. I have a 2006 0506M cake I rather like and payed less than 20 bucks for IIR.
