You can buy the 09 XZH Yi Wu/LBZ Golden Brick from Houde for cheaper than you can in Taiwan (at least according to XZH website.)

This is what I got on puercn.com

Bingdao: 3000 rmb/kg, up to 5000 rmb/kg
Xigui: 3000 rmb/kg top quality: 4000 rmb/kg
Mengku: 200 rmb/kg
Jingmai:
single tree 1500 rmb/kg
ancient tea gardens 1000 rmb/kg
natural tea gardens 150 rmb/kg
Yiwu old trees: 2000 rmb/kg
Yiwu small trees: 400 rmb/kg
Man Song plantation tea: 800 rmb/kg
Man Song old trees: 6000 rmb/kg
Mengsong old trees: 700 to 800 rmb/kg
Mengsong plantation tea: 100 rmb/kg
Banpen old trees: 1700 rmb/kg
Lao Ban Zhang old trees: 3500 rmb/kg
Nannuo old trees: 800 rmb/kg
Nannuo plantation tea: 100 rmb/kg

Those prices are probably an average, each batch has its own price according to the weather, tea garden quality and picking grade. Each village has its own price, here, they talk mostly about mountains, and I guess the price in Mengsong is not the same in Naka and in lesser known villages. Even though not perfect, this pricelist shows a clear increase in price compared to last year. Do you think this price is purely driven by a growing number of tea amateurs, or are there speculators in the game?

Pu erh speculation will always be there.

Now even XG is being targeted. After 8853, think the next one should be 2012 menghai early spring arbor, now about 150RMB each cake

This year's prices...a rough guessimate in yuan/kg...

Lao Banzhang 5000-8000. It has been suggested to me that the low end is for "regional recipe" cakes. Moreover, the actual price for actual LBZ, if you have the connections, is around 10k.

Nannuo 800-1200. Not quite sure how helpful this number is, because there's a lot of Nannuo around, but only a bit of the serious stuff. So not sure whether that's serious stuff or more pedestrian material at the low end.

Pasha 800-1200. Pasha is smaller. As far as I know, there's just one area that really counts and then there's the rest. I'm pretty sure that the area that counts is more expensive than 1200yuan/kg, but most of us gets other Pasha, and these prices reflect the available tea.

Lao Man'E 1200-1600. Considering where LBZ is right now, it's hard to see Lao Man'E being that much cheaper, but who know. Lao Man'E, though, is usually not cheap at all for the good sweet tea. Maybe it's just the top places running away from the rest.

Nanben (a kind of south mengsong/hekai tea) 600-900. Odd placement. It's one of those places people are trying to hype up, i think.

Xinbanzhang 2500.

Naka 1200-1500. Relative to the Nannuo price, that seems about right.

Hekai 900-1200. Like Pasha, the best is probably more than 1200, but you or I will never be able to buy it.

Banpen 1500-1800.

Mansong 5000-8000. You and I are unlikely to ever buy genuine Mansong gushu. Almost certainly less than a ton a year of the actual gushu.

GFZ 2500-3500. There are a ton of GFZ-ish areas, and they all have different prices, which can have substantial jumps in value.

Mahei 1000-1500. There isn't a huge amount of genuine good quality gushu, and it's all doled out by people who have it on lockdown. So those prices are likely for high quality younger plants.

Wangonzhai 2200-2800. like GFZ, this comprises of different areas with substantially different prices and different characters.

Gaoshanzhai 1200-1600.

Daqishu and Luol Shui Dong 1000-1200.

Manzhuang 700. Again, different areas with different prices. None of the bigtime places, like Wanlong, Manlin, etc are liable to be 700 or less, so more diffident Manzhuang area gushu is represented.

Yibang 800-1000.

Bingdao 8000-12000. Funny money, it's all funny money. Does seem to be blowing the top off of the most popular areas.

Xigui 2200-2800. Not much growth in price from last year.

Qianjiazhai 600. This is almost certainly wrong. All of XiaoJingGu is expensive, and the best are extremely expensive. Plenty of Qianjiazhai on Taobao offered at similar prices to Xigui, not that I'd trust it to be real or any good.

Jingmai 1000-1300. The shengtai is 200-250. The price for the gushu is almost certain to be of the sort that's generally available to actually buy.

Jinggu 300. Not for anything great.

Couple of changes as posted on Theasophie.org facebook...

Seems to be working off of the same list of places..

LBZ 8-10k
XBZ 3k
LM'E 16-20k
H 12-15k
so forth and on. General increases of that proportion. Bingdao is 15-18k, though.

Needs to be noted that a more serious than usual hailstorm just happened, and wiped out a wide swath of early spring tea.

At the rate the prices are going, the collapse of the Puer market may come sooner than later. A lot of vendors I spoke to already plan for the next collapse. Many vendors already boycott the hot areas.
Cheers! :D
