dont you find it strange that they write it has an overwelming scent but dont say what scent??
or say it has delightful taste, but dont tell what taste???

Not so much. I think taste is subjective from one person to another. Also you should not believe everything a vendor writes about there teas. They are trying to sell you a product. I ordered a sample. I was just queries to see if anyone else has tired it and if so what are there thoughts.

Well im not an Pu erh expert,But my reasoning is this:
Professional shops with high quality tea must
cater to expert or sophisticated tea drinkers.
Won´t a more experienced tea drinker, won´t he need some information besides the name to make a decision about buying a tea?
so i wonder who his targeted clientele is.
would you buy a oolong just because its called paochung or tie guan yin??
how much does that tell about the tea??

Wrong information is also not better and some tastes are very subjective.

I have tried 2010 Xiao Ban Zhang bought on taobao. The main flavors were citric, vanilla, heavy floral notes. The taste is slightly astringent and a little sour. Leaves are tiny - you don't find that tiny leaves in a puer, usually. I did not notice any buds in my gaiwan, but I bet there are some. Initially, it is kind of exotic, reminds wulong more than puer. On later infusions, it is more normal, even with hints of tobacco. It also reminds me 2006 Guan Zi Zai "Bing Dao Gu Shu" and, to a certain extent, 2003 Longyuanhao "Gui Fei" (aka "King Tea Biscuit"). I personaly hate this kind of puers, but I know that other people just love it.
