I've seen very few comments and almost no reviews on YS's 2012 puerh. Any recommendations, for or against?
Thanks!

It's so cheap you may just buy a sample I think. Reviews still have an element of writer's personality which may not be compatible with your own.

2010 and 2011 were good and very similar, so if the place is the same, there is little reason why 2012 should be too different.

I wrote a 2012 Wuliang Shan review, as well a couple others. I enjoyed the Wuliang Shan, and the price is very reasonable.

Like Jakub said, it sort of depends on your personal preferences. If you want something that is smokey and strong, the 2012 Dehong purple was also pretty enjoyable, and at a good price. I was not a fan of the Yiwu purple, but I might have gotten a bad chunk.

If you have a region(s) that you like, just get some samples, or buy a cake. Most of YS's cakes are reasonable enough that you won't be taking a huge risk, and the quality is good across the board.
