Does toucha or bird's nest pu-erh need to be rinsed?

A simple question: Does toucha or bird's nest pu-erh need to be rinsed, as you would with pu-erh in traditional cakes?

Yes :) they are usually stored the same way and can acquire nasties. this goes for any pu, no matter the shape (including loose pu).

Some people forego the rinse, but I find I'm not losing any flavour I'd miss with a quick rinse so I never take the chance and always rinse!
