Has anyone tried this tea from Mengku. Claims to be Ancient Arbor Leaves, A.K.A. Gushu I think.

Pity they are out of stock. They are quite a bit cheaper than Dragon Tea House.

Older hands have had it...same as any other Mengku of that era. With enough differences from other stuff to say it's unique, of course.

edit: Nobody has no business paying $70 for a tea like that.

This: http://www.finepuer.com/product/2009-yo ... -cake-500g is probably much better, for instance, if you have to have a tea like that.

$70 seems pretty high. If you go through the trouble of Taobao you can get it for about $40-50. Since DTH no longer seems to guarantee what they sell is authentic anyway.....

And if you are going to buy it from DTH you should do it from their home page (dragonteahouse.biz) rather than ebay, you'll get it for $63 instead of $70 that way (if you register, which is free).

I know I won't make my purchased there in the future. They're selling off their 2011 "Golden Dayi" at a "Special Price" of $59.39 now (used to be $65 for members) which I'm willing to bet my small pu collection is a clever strategy (as long as customers keep believing that this was all a big mistake, that is) for getting rid of the rest of the fake stuff many of us have received. Clearly nothing has been learned from the (exposed) blunder.

Edit: Turns out I'm wrong about the "special price", it was was registered members paid all along. Still, they haven't removed it, and as they apparently recognize that the batch is fake that's something they should have done long ago.

That's actually probably a bigger blunder than the original sin of selling fake cakes, because now he can't claim he doesn't know. Stay away.
