Tea Translation Needed

by AllanK » Aug 13th, '14, 21:09

I recently ordered some teaware and a teacake from an Aliexpress vendor. The teacake I received is different from what I ordered with no writing in English. Is anyone able to translate the Chinese? The vendor says the factory is Yunnan Tea King Ltd named Menghai Court Tea Cake but he has sent something other than what I ordered. He says it is the same cake and different packaging. I would like to at least confirm he is being truthful about the name of the company, should be on the tea.

your current cake says yunnan tea king private limited

the aliexpress picture says yunnan menghai xian tong qing tang private limited.

since you are looking for Yunnan Tea King ltd's product, then your item is correct. the picture on ali express is not.

I don't speak Chinese, so don't take my word for it... but I figure I'll try to chip away at this in case nobody else comes along. The bottom line looks like it says.

云南茶树王茶业有限公司出品

Which amounts to basically Yunnan Tea King Ltd and also matches the text found on this site

云南茶树王茶业有限公司
http://www.yncsw.com/x_index.asp

Edit: I see that this link is on the back of your cake!

Also, on the top it does say Menghai 勐海

勐海?茶七子饼 The last character meaning it is a disc, I believe.

宫 in the center usually represents palace. Hopefully someone can answer better than I can.

Thanks for the translation. If it seems he is telling the truth and the companies seem to match I will cancel my dispute tomorrow.

Do you not raise a dispute when you order one thing and get another. I have not yet confirmed they are the same, just that the writing on the second cake matches the description he gave after I received it. I have a right to expect what I paid for. A vendor cannot advertise one item while shipping another without problems. He had nothing about different packaging on his site. I looked for it.

The thing I am still not 100% on. Does this one also say Yunnan Tea King Ltd? I am not sure if that is what previous posters were saying.

No, it doesn't. The top reads Yunnan Menghai Palace Grade Cake Tea and the bottom says "Yunnan Menghai xian tong qing tang private limited" as another poster said. If you look at the characters I gave you will see they are not matching "云南茶树王茶业有限公司出品" vs what is on the bottom of this http://www.aliexpress.com/item-img/Free ... 42073.html

Specifically it is lacking this bit "茶树王" which is the "tea king" part. So no, not the same.

you asked for tea king factory tea or you intended to buy tea king factory tea i assume. seller sent you tea king factory tea. your picture of the tea cake your received has the printed words "tea king" in chinese.

on aliexpress link you showed, the seller simply labelled his product as "Free Shipping*Famous Brand Puerh Tea 357g Ripe Pu'er Cakes Tea Pu erh Tea*P03B2"

no brand nor anything specified. the picture in the aliexpress ad is that of "tong qing label pte ltd company".
