Just wondering if I can get a translation on these wrappers? The green one smells like a young sheng (haven't tasted yet) but has shou written on it, but I can't speak Chinese so I don't understand the context.
I got them in a tea shop in Chongqing that seemed dedicated to puerh, but the woman had no English!
Re: Can somebody translate please?
It would take me a while to translate all of this but "shou gong" means hand made. The character for hand/"shou" is 手.
Re: Can somebody translate please?
first one is a cake from Shuangjiang Mengku factory
second one is a Menghai V93 Ripe Tuocha
second one is a Menghai V93 Ripe Tuocha
Can somebody translate please?
The V93 seems solid enough! Anyone have any info on the Mengku? It's 2011 I think based on a red stamp on the back

Re: Can somebody translate please?
Sooo the V93 was nice, thick mouthfeel, full flavour, seemed to pretty much match descriptions I found on vendor sites.
The mengku is a young sheng for sure, but it's a bit mild... Astringent but barely bitter, with nice citrus/aromatic (general young sheng flavours really) undertones. Actually a very easy daily sheng for drinking now I guess, not complex but nice! I'm getting a dry feeling from it in general, so perhaps storage hasn't been suitable... But I honestly wouldn't have a real notion
