Need Help identifying some cakes

by zacknp » Jan 5th, '15, 14:23

Hello TeaChat,

I am in need of some help identifying a few puerh cakes. My Dad goes to work in china every so often, and knowing my love for tea, he brought me back a selection of Puerh cakes. However, i dont know much about puerh and would love to know more about what I am drinking!

Here they are:

First tea is worthless...

Second tea looks to be some claim of bulang gushu, probably worthless

Last two are shu, if the Fuhai, the third one, is real, that might be pretty decent.

Last, not really sure other than that it's shu.

The last one looks like the logo of the Nan Jian company, which I think produces nondescript pu but I have limited experience with it.
At least he didn't bring you back any ripe mini tuos or tea bags.
One fact of life as a pu drinker is that the people closest to you will take trips and bring you back cute and colorfully packaged dreck. Sigh. It doesn't mean they don't love you. They know not what they do.

Agree on the Nan Jian and +1 on others buying for you.
