One of the intentionally aged teas, Pu-Erh has a loyal following.

I'll drink it and stick with mutual funds.

That just seems so wrong to make puerh primarily about the money, as it just drives up the price of the good stuff and out of reach of the people that want to drink it.

...like finer aged wines and spirits...and even cigars. This is the new reality of pu-erh. Fortunately, there will always be good affordable pu-erh, wine, etc for those who want it.

But this is scary...talk about speculative investments.

Does this site look sort of...sketchy...to anyone else? From what I can see of that $5,000 'Investment Pu-erh Selection,' it almost looks like a grab bag o' stuff.

If I'm going to shell out $5,000 for tea, I want to know the exact bush the leaves came from and the life-history of the 'virgin' who plucked it. Grab bag? No.

That's what makes me most careful about such things.

Oh, God Mary you always seem to crack me up!! "the virgin who picked" - too funny!

I wouldn't worry too much guys. It seems that there is information that the pu-erh bubble is about or has burst causing vendors to dump some of their BIG factories like DaYi and XiaGuan! I hope that this is correct!!
