notice on the front of the box at the bottom it says :

ART. NO. S301.

do you guys think that this means that this cake was from 2003, the first batch?

what does the S mean?

i just grabbed this ripe pu and i can't find any date anywhere. not even on the wrapper. actually, the line where the manufacturing date is supposed to be is empty :

notice the very last line having an empty space where a date is supposed to be or even the year of this cake was made.

I suppose there isn't any web address on the container. I've heard good things about some of the Golden Sail products, and have one of them on my list for my next order from Puerhshop.

Where did you get? A local store or on the Web?

Sorry I can't help. Seems you should be able to contact the company somehow, but I wasn't able to find a web presence for them in a quick Google search.

my mom found this cake at this really deserted chinese supermarket in the middle of nowhere here in toronto. it's priced at a low low bargain price of $7.99 and it's yummy to say the least. :D

your cake looks a REAL LOT like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0169273290 cake from YS, which says 2002 - obviously, the same wrapper could be used for many years, and many recipes ....
i know that cake you mentioned, it's a raw one, mine is a ripe one.

OK, I give up. HOW has it been confirmed? Do they have more of these back at the store?

Amazingly, my local Asian market has that same beeng, for $4.99. I never even considered buying it, as the low price pegged my BS meter, but now.....
