anyone seen this cake before? the brew is very light brown, apparently this has been aged.

Then you'll truly be missing out. I know what you're saying, but I think you're over-generalizing. Neither good puerh nor good greens should taste like what you probably have in mind.

the cake is from 2004. 2004 Mengsa Yingluoshan raw cake. it tastes nothing like pu erh tea though. very strange, as i said before, dragon well green tea comes to mind right away.

wait a minute guys, pu-erh for all technical purposes, is green tea. However, I do not think the Phoenix taste anything remotely like green tea.
