Weirdest object found in pu?
Usually it's hairs and fabric fibers, but today I found some chips of broken glass. So now I'm filtering it through coffee filter as I pour.
What's the weirdest thing you ever found in pu?

OK, that topic header both intrigued and frightened me
... LOL.
I'm becoming increasingly glad I haven't acquired the taste for pu yet. I'd hate to have to "pick thru my pu" every morning... not a great conversation-starter at work either.

Until now just hairs, but in 2 samples at least 3 of them. Someone there in Yunnan seems to need a toupée.
But that didn't bother me much. I mean I rinse the tea with boiling water and I think especially the flora in shu pu er is not less nastier - I drink that stuff from time to time too.
Oh and once I found a hard kind of berry. Maybe a tea fruit, am not sure.
Glas and metal parts are a bit different - that really shouldn't happen.

Just hair for me, glass would be rather scary, I hope those little free stainless filters from YSLLC are fine enough to take out anything dangerous.

3 bugs (all in the same sample- they looked like flying ants) and one piece of string so far. Considering I just started into the world of Pu recently, I must be the luckiest guy around...

I think as long as you stay away from the random mountain "companies" you should be alright. Stick with Mengku, Menghai . . . .

Lets see, I found a few tiny blue strands of cloth, and in this one tuocha I found a tiny piece of what looked like coal. Other than that nothing too crazy, no cigarette butts yet

I guess I've been lucky. I've found a few stray hairs, but actually nothing more.
Of course this means that I'll find something awful in my next purchase :X

All I know is that if I ever find a kernel of corn in mine, I'm outta here.
So far, everything I've had has been pristine.

Sarah, you're an RN, certainly you've heard far crazier stories than picking thru pu???
I have found some small rocks, hair, what looked like fibers from somebody's yellowish sweater, paper (and not from the certificate). Tenuki posted a video from someone's website that showed pictures of 2 barefoot dudes looking at Pu drying on the floor. All I could think of was, "Great, you'll never see toe jam!"
But you know what they say about hot dogs . . .

I think I remember seeing that video...
...and all of the workers were completely drenched in sweat...
