Thanks Tom! I dont like the sound of that! I know that Wesli has the same cake and I know that he did a review on it so I looked at his blogg hopping for some pictures and sure enough there are! The picture below have the same exact coloration on them that scared me. You can notice kinda some greenish yellow cloudy bloches on the areas the he flaked off. It almost lookes like someone gave the cake a dusting of chalk. Take a look. Thanks Wesli for the pictures. I guess this proves that all of these Guoyan 66 cakes have this and it isnt harmful. I guess I just didnt notice it beofre now.

sometimes when we use a pu knife to hack away at the cake, and the cake is really compressed, we see yellowish dust but this is more from the metal of the knife grating the tea and so thereby forming some pu dust that looks yellow but really is in fact chalky residue of pu. what do you think? i have seen this on a few occasions.

Quite possible. This is my only tightly compressed cake and I did use a metal pairing knife to do it with, and the tea put up a good bit of resistance. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Hmmm, Thanks Bears. The stuff of my cake did not look like that and I assum it is not mold since I feel fine and it smells fine. This may also show how crazy some of us pu heads are. "Oh this tea might have a toxic yellow mold on it. . . lets brew some up and see what happens. . ."
