Hai Lang Hao

Anyone had any experience with these teas from Hai Lang Hao?

I've never tried a tea from Hai Lang Hao, but have heard nothing but amazing things about their 07 Bu Lang offering. I'm wondering why these teas are so cheap for the expected quality and age.

That cake looks very tasty! Mengku is a highly thought of brand around here. Cant tell you much as I've never had one.

i have this one 2002 Hai Lang Hao * Mengku Wild Arbor raw cake * 400 grams.

very happy with this semi aged tea. great aftertaste. i would get this for drinking now or to age it more. order with confidence. scott offers great teas at great prices. ask anyone here on the forum.

Yeah I trust Scott. Ordered tons of stuff from him, just wasn't sure about these particular teas. It's so cheap I think I'm just going to order a cake with sample.

Hmm, I don't think that's a Mengku *brand*, but a Hai Lang Hao brand from Mengku area probably.

I havent tried those 2 but I am trying the 2008 star of bulang, I like the taste very much. Liquor is nice and amber, tast is strong, but not to bitter.

It is nice. This is my first bulang, and the flavor profile is certainly unique. From what scott said, it is very typical of a bulang tea as well.

It is nice. This is my first bulang, and the flavor profile is certainly unique. From what scott said, it is very typical of a bulang tea as well.
It's so far my favorite cake released in the past couple of years. It having the maocha aged on Bulang mountain itself for three years led to it mellowing out a bit before they pressed it. Newer Bulang tea, is less forgiving. It can be pretty rough sometimes. Still one of my favorite teas in the world of Pu-erh. I also remember liking the 07 Guoyan Dragon of Bulang when that came out as I ended up with a cake, but it being at the bottom of a 19 cake pile means I won't be tasting that again for a long while.
