1999 7542 from tea-masters. In the time that I've had this cake this is only the second session I've had with it. For me It still has a lot of strength in the early infusions, but around the 6th it gets very smooth. Wonderful flavor. Warm and relaxing. I like this tea a lot
Edit: also, both the dry and wet aroma of this cake is incredible! Woody, old paper, very distinct and soothing

Xiaguan tuocha from '92 or '93, definitely too humid .. but thick flavours and enduring, at least!
EDIT ~ Forgot to add, yesterday had 60s GYG, quite good

Re: Official Pu of the day
I had my first mao cha yesterday. This was nannuo mao cha from Dragon Tea House. So, I suppose this would be considered young sheng or something and seeing as I've never had "maocha" nor young sheng, I wasn't really sure how to brew this tea. Either way, I winged it and it came out really nice. I can see myself drinking this stuff very often. To me, it tasted rather like pickled sakura tea or an ume kombucha type tea. Very enjoyable tea and it went the distance steeps wise. Very, very lovely when intentionally made light as well, for those times when one wants something delicate.

Menghai Golden needle white lotus over ice--brewing up in my little treebark pot, but due to heat, pouring over ice to drink it. Pleasantly earthy, reliably tasty despite the clumsy icing technique.

2011 Lao Man E', 4 Peaks summer harvest. 3 year tasting. Dry leaf aroma is very pungent. Leaf and liquor have not darkened much. A noticeable smokiness pervades the mouth, coloring the taste. There is some thickness and some dryness. Overall the tea feels rather empty. Quite a disappointment from the nice look of the leaves. After 8 or so brews, a bit of flavor begins to show after I push the tea more, but the drying quality is enhanced. I will leave this tea for another year and see if it surprises me. lol

2010 Eot Bangwai.......this is beginning to exhibit some noticeable changes. The slight smokiness is seeming to get stronger and the grain and hay flavors seem to be leaning toward a more honeyed core. Also it has gone from a light yellow to a decently dark orange. Some of the high notes seem to be missing though....but it's still good stuff.

Did you purchase this tea recently from them or have you been storing it?puerhking wrote:2010 Eot Bangwai.......this is beginning to exhibit some noticeable changes. Enjoyed Tea Urchin's 2012 Spring Yi Bang all day long. Slow in the beginning but by the 4th infusion the leaf was magical. Good for another eight cups. Clear bright tea soup and the leaf itself is lovely to look at (whole and completely intact).

White2Tea Repave. I like this a lot, quite nice. Like a lesser version of their Keyi Xing, clean and sweet with very little bitterness. I don't know much about pu'erh though, so I can't get the nuances out of it.
