I am also enjoying this 2014 Qing Mei Shan old arbor pu er sample
What I like about this tea is that it can give me the energy to move on the whole day
Not astringent with moderate after taste
Brew 4 g in my yixing 60 ml 'cup pot ' ( self invention)
This morning I am sipping the 2015 Qing Mei Shan. Smooth with a very nice sweet aftertaste.
A+

I have been drinking 2014 Qing Mei Shan daily since last week
Luckily I accidentally ordered 25g x 2

One of my pals at Steepster always buys their Qing Mei cakes every year. I only came across this lately.

This week I am trying to cover the rest of the 8 samples of 2016 sheng's I bought from die Kunst des Tees before I meet them on Saturday.

Today I am sipping 2016 You Le Shang. Beautiful bright yellow liquor, smooth and aromatic.

2011 Simao raw pu erh cha gao from chawangshop. I've wanted to try this stuff for years! Little foil wrapped bits of black resin would sure look suspicious at thew airport, so I won't be traveling with these. Some weird leaf/paper-like stuff came off the lump when I put it in hot water. Bamboo leaf maybe?

Today I am drinking coffee as the tea I brought to work was smoky and cloudy. To compensate I have ordered this from Wilson's new web shop:

2008 Haiwan Lao Ban Zhang

High roast Tie Guan Yin

http://adventureineverycup.com/

Definitely looking to receive these two teas!

That is so true. The best price I have ever paid for a LBZ and following Wilson's blog he has kept it stored in proper conditions.

On my side, I am forever in your debt as your blog was the one who alerted me early in the morning about Wilson's website.

Today I am sipping die Kunst des Tees 2016 Wuliang sheng. Excellent young tea with a decent flavour, aroma and colour.

P.S. Meanwhile I am using my best stealth techniques to sneak in another 7 sheng cakes home...

Today I am sampling the last of the eight raw pu'er samples I bought from die Kunst des Tees: 2016 Jingmai with beautiful long leaves, aromatic and quite yummy. Now I am in two minds of which to get for my collection Gua Feng Zhai or Jingmai.

I've just finished some 2013 Mengku WAK that's quite different from another sample I've tried a while ago. This one tastes like it has been aging for years somewhere close to a temple in the Kathmandu valley, triggering lots of sweet memories and the powerful cha qi takes care of the rest. Unfortunately there's not much body to speak of but the combination of those Nepali notes and the stoney punch is pretty amazing.

Today I sipped a tea which I received a couple of weeks ago. It is from a tea factory I never tried before. It was the 2016 Shujian Zhang Ye Cang Xiang.

Loose cha tao from the mid 2000s. Chocolate and date and the tea just keeps going and going and going. Really nice. Not sweet, but very pleasant drinking with a clean taste that lingers for a while. I really like cha tao!

White2Tea's 2016 Bosch. Finally I am sipping again one of my favourite teas.

p.s. - Already a gorgeous deep yellow colour just like last year's tea. This is first class stuff, still a bit bitter and it only landed on my desk yesterday all the way from China. I just could not wait a week or two on this tea to recover from the long flight.
