Any ole rainwater tea will have "fat" looking leaves.

Mostly fat buds. Best looking cake I have ever bought.

Very pleasant session with YS 2010 Autumn Bang Dong. Rather nice cake this one. Coating the mouth well and a good solid qi.

Really very good! After a year of storage here... it was too bitter and "empty" before that. But the tea has good potential, no doubt. It's really a nice, "solid" Mengku, sort of like some of the better Xiaguans, except without smoke and too much woodiness. It's a bit like circa 2003-4 8653, but frankly better.

Have you tried the 1999 YQH bricks that where pressed in 07?
They where available awhile back on Taobao but I couldn't work up the nerve to buy one. They had 1 kilo and 500 gram bricks and a 250 gram tuo.

The 2004 is good but very light. I think that it will be a good tea to blend with in the future.
On Taobao? Rather strange for YQH to be on Taobao.
I haven't tried that brick, and nor am I likely to given their new prices.

Yang had a shop there, where he sold some really beautiful metal teaware and stunning tenmochi cups. Just a few items of tea, of which aged maocha pressed Yiwu bricks were one. Think it shut down about a year and a half ago.

Well might as well...since YQH's prices for their better stuff are now outright unaffordable...and I'm not talking tongs, I'm talking single cakes.
