No I haven't tried that yet. I was just thinking of placing my first order from sample tea.

Day two of dry stored 88 7542 . At first it seems that this tea seem younger. But it gains its age as the infusions go on.

88 Qing Bing and 70's TQH....tea chatters were rich!

(am I the only poor one? )

Puerh is one of the few luxury consumptions that, to this day, a poor man can indulge in just as much as the rich. Of course, as old poor guys die and their hoards sold off...

That pot of 88 7542 actually cost me less than seven dollars.

Young Sheng, 2013 Nahan from Teaurchin. This is a particularly delicious tea. Both aroma and flavor come through in spades. Plummy taste sits on tongue. 6 brews into it and no let up on taste. Some huigan and thick mouthfeel.
For those in love with young sheng, this could be interesting.

Yes I've tried some of them. The 2012 Bada Shan is quite good and the 2012 Jingmai but they are both sold out. I like the 2011 Yiwu Zheng Shan...it's simple but enjoyable. I also like the 2012 Yiwu Zheng Shan Gu Shu and the 2013 He He xiao bing. The good news is that you can buy samples of anything. If there is no sample just email Honza and he will create one to buy.

Yes I have already bought once from Honza, but I have never tried his Pu Erh. I'll try some of those described here from you, thanks for suggestions!

Yesterday tea session started out with the sounds of gunshots outside my window. According to todays paper one person was shot while running away. The bullets that missed wound up in a car door as well as exterier wall of the building next door to me. Todays session started out much quieter with an uneventful pot of 2001 #8580. Second try but this time in my yixing and still nothing special. I've got enough for 1 more pot but i'm going to wait a few months before i try this again and hope for positive change.

On a higher note i had another go at 2003 Bada from Sunsing. This is probably the 5th time i've tried this and i still can't decide if i should save up for a tong or just buy a couple cakes. Later infusions reminded me of that 90's Taiwan plum brick from realchinatea. Some nice bitterness that lingers for a few mins but also somewhat rough and at times unpleasant. A few more years of storage will clear that right up though. I don't see myself wanting to drink this very often at this awkward stage so for that reason i may consider saving for a tong of 2004 7532 instead since its much cheaper and also needs a few years to mellow enough for daily drinking. Neither are amazing teas but both are currently priced very fair at Sunsing. I think $275/tong is fair but the yearly increase is just around the corner and might render this tea less of a bargain. I could be wrong but i feel like the Bada was priced around the current 7532 price before last years increase. Lets hope we don't see a similar jump this year.

The bada was priced at 800 hkd last year.

Strange i remember it being much lower but than again i'm probably mixing it up with something else. Hopefully that means it wont go up too much this year. Cakes i have my eye on have the tendency to sell out or go up in price. Eh i guess i'm just a slow shopper.

What is your general impression of Sunsing? That cake is pretty pricey for what it is (I'm guessing it was cheaper when you bought it) and Sunsing has no description up. All their prices seem a bit crazy; for example, a jinxuan oolong at over $2/gram, how?
