Regardless, you might get better deals if you order $1000 worth of stuff vice $50.
Yea I assume also that he will be ordering direct. Thats really the key thing you would have to figure out, at what point (in terms of money) does it become economical to do such a thing.

I fail to see the advantage of entering into a partnership with someone who is so cheap.

Are you referring to ordering cheap cakes?

I fail to see the advantage of making an ass of yourself for no reason on a tea forum. Do this forum a favor and get lost, we don't need your smart remarks around here. Goo'day chap.

(sorry for the language)

I encourage you to still look into this Shogun. I bet that ordering the Tongs and then distributing them here will be less expensive than ordering individually. So long as you don't mind the hassle of packaging them up and reshipping them, I think it is a win win situation. I appreciate the guidance, as well, in cake selection. When you figure it out, if it more hassle and expense than ordering individually, we all can just do that. But I bet there will be enough interest to cover each cake offered.

I don't know about you guys, but I prefer that anyone buying something on my behalf be cheap. Think of the alternatives:

Anyone want to split a cake of Xizhihao? I'm having it flown in from Hong Kong, and it will have its own first class seat. The remainder of the trip will use the very same vintage Harley sidecar that the Duboeuf's used to bring in the first bottle of beaujolais nouveau.

I think this is a really good idea. I had thought of a 'tea co-op' before, but never really explored the idea much. It may take some work to get off the ground, but there has got to be a way to make buying in bulk work out a lot cheaper.

If I was living in the US right now, I would def. be in on this.

Yeah that sounds good. Those selections look awesome, I have been wanting some raw whole cakes. Lately I have just been getting the 25g samplers. I hope this works because that could usher in a new era on the forum where we buy other teas in bulk and distribute.

I've heard that Scott's samples are pretty well broken up. I'm a "chunk" guy, and don't enjoy samples consisting of leaf that I'd normally throw out.

How have your samples been?

Well I'm glad to hear there is some interest in this topic now, it kinda got hit rather hard earlier on. I am not a big fan of samples because of the price. For example.
25 g sample- $3.99
357 g cake-$15

Yes, its good to try before you buy but when its a cheap cake your talking about I say take the chance and save some money. So what I'm saying is, 1 cake is a sample for me.
