Need some advice -- Anyone had these?

One of the intentionally aged teas, Pu-Erh has a loyal following.

I'm putting in an order from puerhshop and I was wondering if anyone has tried or heard anything about either the 2005 Xiaguan Jia Ji tuo or the 2004 Nanjian Phoenix Superior tuo! Thanks in advance! Please feel free to recommend any other pu erh's you think would be good for a starter collection!

I have not had any of those but I will mention this one to you. The first one, I highly recommend, great tea for the price. I bought 8 cakes of it.

Xiaguan tea factory makes perfect shengs but some dont really like their shu. You can also try puerhs by Haiwan and Menghai factories.

Well yes you could absolutely go wrong with cheap pu.

Haven't had this one, but it is and early spring harvest via CNNP. So you probably could do worse, but for $9 you could get a nice sample of higher end aged puerh that would be drinkable today...

I've tried the 2004 Nanjain Tou and I thought it was pretty good, a little smokey in the first infusions but nice and interesting. Plus its not too expensive
