I think their site is http://www.troisthes.com/, but don't see much beyond a splash page there.raveme wrote:do you have a link? the googled webpage i found doesn't work..
Hi all,
I have just discover the blog and saw that there is a post about "maison des trois thés", my main tea-seller.
Maison des trois thés means house of three teas, right. The head is a well known master of tea, Yu Hui Tseng.
Actually, they don't developp their website, they think that making ad is not a priority for them.
My girlfriend, born in Yunnan and now living in Paris told me that for old teas (pu er, liu bao, liu an), it's impossible to find the same price at such quality in China.
For instance, it's two loose leaf pu ers of 50' are much more interesting than Hou de samples of 60', with a price about 5 times less. It seems that also some older ones (to 1890) could be bought.
For more recent ones, she has also sometimes very interesting sheng ou shu at good prices, for instance loose leaf numbers 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, about 10 years old, about 20€/100g. Impossible to find such quality on the net at these prices. But she does not have products at very low price. The bings numbers 36 (1998) or 37 (2003) are also very interesting for their price, about 70€.
Also about Yixing, you can find recent ones, but also very old ones. She has many teapots producted in Taiwan, not at Yixing. It's the case for almost all "medium priced" teapots. I find the teapot expensive. But the clay is really quality. And compared to Hou de for instance, it seems that you have a very better quality for same price.
About old pu er, it seems also that announced year can quite be trust. Some biological experiment has been made, they seems to prove that announcements are correct, which is usually not true with samples found on the web.
Unfortunatly, they usually don't ship to north America (USA and Canada), because of customs.
