Check out Sampan Tea (ebay) I've gotten some very good things from him. You might like the 1997 San Cha.

Also, some years ago I ordered some puerh from Camellia-Sinenis thinking I was getting raw. They were ripe, but I thought that they were very good. Now their web site makes it more clear which are raw and which not.

2003 Songpin Imperial

But.... it's $39 and I think that's too high to pay for shu.

I believe that they offer 2 oz sample sizes to try.

At the moment, I'm enjoying two:

The 7581; although the versions I have from '06 and '07 are both cooked through.

The other is DaYi Menghai '94. There's no recipe for this one, but it is a cooked/raw mix, and is DaYi's first brick production.

The DaYi has been getting quite a bit of pot time since 2 days ago.

I have only tried a handful of ripe pu but I would have to say that 1997 Xiaguan Aged Ripe Pu-erh Tea Brick is my favorite. However, I am looking forward to trying some of the V93 Menhai ripe.
Good tea drinking,
Steve
