I think I might be the newest and most "rookie" of memebers here. However I hav a passion for Tea and thats all that matters right?!?

How long have you been drinking Tea?
I would have to say since I was 4 or 5. I am now 27 and finally realizing that I have this immense passion and love for the leaf!

What was your first Tea?
My first Tea is really quite vauge to me. I do know it was with my Grandmother as she is who always told me "a cup of tea cures everything". She was right. Still live my day to day life knowing that if an doubt - take a sip!

What is your favorite Tea currently?
I feel like a serious "rookie" when I say this but I dont really venture out much when I have such a love for a particular Tea. Black Tea is my favorite. I know - BLAH BLAH BLAH..... I promise to venture outside the box and try something new on a weekly basis.

What is your next purchase?
I am going to venture into the Green's. See where this may take my tastebuds. Any suggestions?

Where is your favorite spot to brew up?
The Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia - All I can say is AMAZING! Best Afternoon Tea ever! I've been to over 10 places in Vancouver, British Columbia and 1 in Oahu, Hawaii a the Empress still takes the cake. So fabulous!

So this is my first post and this seems as good a place as any to start.

How long have you been drinking tea?
On and off for the last few years - have gotten more serious about it in the last month or so after giving up sodas.

What was your first Tea?
Lived off of sweet tea in the south but after reading The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy I had a craving for hot tea because one of the main characters made it sound so delicious. So I bought a box of Twinings English Breakfast.

What is your favorite Tea currently?
Probably some Fair Trade Shu Pu-erh Mini Tuo Chas that I got from A Southern Season in Chapel Hill, NC. I also love Gunpowder Green.

What is your next purchase?
I really want to pick up a Gaiwan. I'm looking for one locally but will probably have to order one online.

Where is your favorite spot to brew up?
I mostly drink in my office so I guess it would be there.

How long have you been drinking tea? Since I was 3 or 4. Scottish family during WWII. So, about 66/67 years!

What was your first Tea? Black tea (India or China) Don't remember brand.

What is your favorite Tea currently? Mariage Freres Marco Polo

What is your next purchase? Not sure. I have too many samples of all kinds of teas to even think about purchasing any more until I try them all.

Where is your favorite spot to brew up? Kitchen, then carry it to my lift recliner where my laptop is located.

How long have you been drinking tea?
I have been drinking tea most of my life. I guess I've been seriously drinking tea for around around eight years.

What was your first Tea?
My first tea was probably something bagged. I really actually don't remember my first tea because things have changed so much.

What is your favorite Tea currently?
Tao of Tea Puer Taocha

What is your next purchase?
I am almost out of my Tao of Tea Puer Taocha, so that is the next purchase.

Where is your favorite spot to brew up?
In front of the camera for my tea reviews.

How long have you been drinking tea?
Most of my life. Iced tea was in the house a lot and I always had hot tea at restaurants where available. Loose leaf is new to me: a few months. Before that I was drinking lots of bagged teas like Chamomile, Mint, Celestial Vanilla Rooibos, and Tazo Teas.

What was your first Tea?
Black iced tea. Probably something like Lipton.

What is your favorite Tea currently?

I can't get over how tasty Genmaicha is!! I haven't made a purchase but get it at my local tea lounge all the time.

What is your next purchase?
With that being said... I believe Genmaicha will be my next purchase.

Where is your favorite spot to brew up?

Next to the computer while I browse the net or play games, or at the night table where I sleep. My mother gave me her tea pot that her husband brought to her from China to use. It holds about 16 oz and has 2 oz cups that match. I usually use this when I want to wind down and relax. I don't let the computer, TV, or anything be on to distract me. Just some good music, sometimes (a classic like Joni Mitchell lately). It's my "relax" ritual.

Thanks for this thread Tim and great replies from you other tea enthusiasts.

How long have you been drinking tea?
I was only drinking your standard black Lipton style tea back until I moved to Okinawa for 4 years in the mid-late 1980s and discovered Oolong tea after a cross country track practice while off the air base around 1987.

What was your first Tea?
Oops, see above.

What is your favorite Tea currently?
Well, even after 23 years, I show my relative noobness here. I've tried a number of teas but nowhere near what I see people speaking of in this forum. I don't know what you guys are talking about half the time, hah! I just ordered some Pu-erh for the first time and am looking forward to trying that but my favorite daily drinker is mugicha, though I like a variety. I also like some of the loose leaf green teas found at a local outlet of the Spice & Tea Exchange.

What is your next purchase?
Oops, see above. Any other suggestions?

Where is your favorite spot to brew up?
At work, where there are several other tea lovers. If I had my choice, I go sip some at the local Japanese gardens (Morikami Museum).

How long have you been drinking tea?
Most of my life. Primarily iced tea.

What was your first Tea?
Lipton iced tea.

What is your favorite Tea currently?
I don't have a favorite. Up until I tasted a friend's loose leaf tea a few weeks ago, I've never had much more than Lipton or whatever brand the chain restaurants serve. I'm a newbie.

What is your next purchase?
Probably the Golden Moon 31 tea sampler. I want to try out a lot of different flavors to get a feel for what I like and this will allow me to do so without busting the budget.

Where is your favorite spot to brew up?
Kitchen.
