Hello,

My name is Florent, I'm french (nobody's perfect), living in Japan since 2005.
First, I would like to apologize for my very bad English...

I became so crazy about japanese tea, I pass the exam and be qualified Nihoncha (japanese tea) Instructor in 2009.
I'm now working at Maruyama-en a Japanese tea company. I'm now at the Ichikawa shop.
Im also in charge of the selection of teas for the online shop "Thés du Japon".

Im particularly intereted in the great variety of tea trees cultivar. Recently, I became a big fan of Kama-iri Cha.

I will try this new shop : http://www.thes-du-japon.com

It has just been launched by two french people, one of them is a French blogger who happens to be the first French "Japanese tea instructor." He also works in the shop Maruyama-en Honten in Shinjuku.

I figured he deserves a little "cocorico" !

Hello Florent,

I have seen your website and it looks great. Very nice and unique selection. On my 'to try' list.
Do you have reviews of any of your teas somewhere on the internet (in English)?

As far as I am concerned, I haven't seen yet any reviews of Florent's teas on the web, in English. But his business is quite young.

In France, samples of his teas are travelling well and are appreciated. This shincha season should see a lot of articles on local blogs. I am sure that it will spread quickly beyond our boundaries.

No worries Florent!

Will you be carrying the same products as you currently have for the 2011 crop?

I am particularly interested in Hiruma's: Sencha from Sayama Yumewakaba cultivar, Micro-fermented sencha from Sayama Musashi-kaori cultivar, as well as Sencha from Fuji Inzatsu 131 cultivar. I'm hoping these will still be available in the coming months (from the 2011 harvest, I assume), but I cannot order now, as I have a lot of shincha coming.

Thanks!

I Will take different Teas in my first 2011 selection. But maybe later, I will take again Inzatsu, because I really like its strange taste.
But for now, my concept is to introduce always different types of teas.
