Hello from Italy!

by alemelo » Feb 15th, '16, 11:09

Hello everyone.
My name is Alessandro, I live in Tuscany, western Italy, right on the coast.
I've been a tea drinker since I was thirteen. Now that I'm fourty-two years old I still drink tea on a daily basis.
I love genmaicha, chun mee and green tea in general but I also go crazy for many black teas like darjeeling, assam, keemun and strong lapsang and tarry souchong.
I often blend them in variable amounts to match the feeling of the day.
Now that I found half a nest of pu'er I bough twenty years ago, when I was still a student, I discovered TeaChat looking for information and I guess I found a treasure: this forum seems to be a nice place to sit and have a cup.
Nice to meet you all.

Alessandro

Hey welcome to the forum :)

Do tell - what are some of your favorite blends for different moods of the day?

Hello everyone and thank you for your kind welcome.
I don't have preferred blends in association with moods, actually. I usually link my tea to the weather, as in a real-life haiku.
A strong windy day will be tamed by a tarry souchong, a delicate spring afternoon will be accompanied by a light chun mee; darjeeling for the autumn with its yellow tones, a decise assam or a keemun in summer days.
Well, with exceptions :-)

Welcome to TeaChat! I need to get better at hiding tea, so I can discover some long-lost pu-erh in a few decades.
