another tea lover jumping in

by blueberriesandtea » Sep 12th, '07, 10:00

Hello!
I've loved tea ever since my pre-school tea party days but In the last few years I've really started exploring tea and now I find I'm very picky about what I drink. I've been lurking here to learn more so I can become really snooty about my tea drinking.
Just kidding!
I really want to figure out what I really enjoy so I can stop just guessing and buying stuff that I don't enjoy and having it just sit on the shelf.

"Life is too short to drink bad tea."

Welcome wife of one and mom of two!

It is funny, you are the third person in 2 days who I have heard say, "life is too short to drink bad tea."

I have a tendency to hang onto bad tea...letting it sit for a year or two til I relegate it to the "tea bath" inventory.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

welcome! i too am picky... i don't like floral teas and with the exceptions of white pear, black rhubarb, and adagio's valentine's teas i do not like fruity teas unless they are iced and those i only drink in the summer if at all.

Welcome! I too, have a shelf of bad tea that I don't want to part with because I feel like it would be a waste. Gah! Enjoy the boards!

Welcome! I, too, am learning what I like & don't like. Also like you , I hate to throw tea out. It's in the bottom of the tea drawer. Bad mommy has it stashed for my daughter when she wants tea or a tea party w/her friends. Being 4, she's not quite as picky (yet!). ~Henley

Hey BB&T, I didn't notice at first that you live in Fort Worth. Come over to Central Market on Hulen and 30 sometime and ask for me. I'm the Grocery lead there and will be happy to give you some tea samples or answer any questions.

Its not like you can walk into my store, but any of you guys hop on a train, plane, or car, Chip, you can ride your bike, and mosey on down her to ol' Fort Worth, and I'll see what I can do for you.

lol...I was wondering if anyone caught that.

Why not take a tea bath with all the old tea we are not going to drink? Sounds good to me.
