Hi,
My name is Derrick and I'm a tea addict.

I was introduced to Adagio and fine teas by my college-aged son. Now I can't stop drinking it.
I like Chinese green teas for the most part.

Thanks. I hope to learn a lot.
The few Japanese teas I've tried I didn't like. Not my cup of tea, as they say.

Welcome to the secret society of tea addicts, Derrick! So glad you found us...

You'll find quite a few fellow green fans here. Not to mention those of us who are green with envy whenever someone buys a "goodie" and shows it off on the Show Off Your Pots and Cups! thread (talkin' about you, Joel, Space, Olivierco...)

Which Chinese greens do you like the best, by the way?

And do you have any teaware you'd like to share with us? Hint, hint.

What Greens do I like?

I've started with the flavored greens from Adagio - Apricot and Citron. They were good. I Tried the Casablanca Twist - not bad. Also got a green sampler. I didn't like the Genmai or the Hojicha.

I got a large tin of some nice tea from a relative that bought it in Hong Kong. Claims it's a 'famous tea' but I can't read them Chinese characters. Looks like a green tea - little balls of leaves that slowly unfurl with the second and third brewing, but the leaves have hints of brown on the edges. What could it be?

Sounds like oolong. Ti Kuan Yin is one of China's 10 Famous teas.

Welcome to the forum Derrick! Hope you stick around for many cups!!!
