A new hello from Montana

Hello all,

I've been drinking tea my entire life; I am fortunate enough to come from a long line of tea drinkers. My great grandfather was drinking green tea before it was the hip, healthy tea. Granted it did come in a bag and he loaded it with sugar, but hey what can I say! The first time I EVER had loose tea was about 5 years ago; it was during a high tea at a great little tea "cafe" in Helena, MT. I came home with a rooibos and a vanilla black tea. Then a year ago I took a family vacation to Michigan and found a quaint little tea shop on the shore of Lake Michigan. From that trip I came home with a strawberry white and a green mint; both wonderfully flavored! I am new to the WHOLE WORLD of tea and look forward to learning from all of you. I am a sponge and will try anything (most anything) once.

I have a collection of Hall Aladin teapots that had an unusualy beginning. I'm looking for tea cups and saucers to match them, but since Hall didn't make them I'm going to have to use something else. I'm thinking of mixing and matching styles, but I'm not 100% on that yet. If you have any advice, please let me know!

Thanks for reading this and wish me luck on my new adventure into the world of tea.

Welcome!

If you ever feel like posting photographs of your teapot collection, I can safely say that many of us here would love to see it. As you might have guessed from today's tea topic, some TeaChatters are teawares-mad. Not naming any names or anything, though

Mum's the word on TeaWare fanatics. Don't ask, don't tell.

Oh, and by the way, Welcome!

It was something like Mitchell's, but I can't remember. Unfortunately, it has since closed. Sorry, I hope you didn't get your hopes up!

As for getting a pic of my teapot collection...I'm working on it. Thank you all for the welcome!

sounds about right. Helena is IN a great place, but its not necessarily A great place.
Are you getting any of your tea from the Montana Tea & Spice Co.?

I didn't even know Mt had a tea & spice Co. I'll have to look them up! Thanks!

its in Missoula, cant remember if I mentioned that or not. It moved last year and the google map hasn't been updated yet. They are still on Broadway but its farther north. If you hop on Reserve and turn East and go between Target and Best Buy I think it is and fallow that road to Broadway you will end up around the tea store close.

Here is their web page http://montanatea.com/ it takes a second to come up. The online catalog is clunky but they mail things out quick. Lots of flavored tea there.
