I used to put milk in a variety of stronger black teas, but have not done so for a few months... because I got more interested in savoring the nuances of unsweetened teas, and the milk camoflauges much of this. There are a few flavored black dessert teas I might splash some milk in... but for now, I really only use milk in chai tea.
There's no right or wrong... experiment and see what you like. If you have something like a good breakfast blend (I like Irish Breakfast), that might be a good one to experiment with in the unflavored arena.
