You don't have to wait for Gyokuro shincha, there are plenty of excellent gyokuro available right now.

Welcome!

You have quite a few options in the bay area if you like shopping locally and buying at B&M.

There are 2 Lupicia stores in SF, 1 in San Jose. Teance in Berkeley, Far Leaves in Berkeley, Imperial Tea Court in SF and Berkeley, Red Blossom which you already know, and quite a few more.

The Makurazaki Saemidori is pretty good stuff.

Like Oliver said though, there's not much reason to wait for gyokuro shincha. Gyokuro is traditionally aged, and while there are shincha options available sometimes, wonderful gyokuro can be had pretty much year round.

Winter is a good time to buy gyokuro, IMHO. It has aged and should be premo. I buy more in the Winter than any other time of the year.

Welcome to TeaChat. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to seeing you on the forum, maybe starting by sharing what is in your cup on TeaDay.
